The southern front:

IDF soldiers have been in action for over 40 hours in Jenin. The Air Force attacked a terrorist squad that threw explosives at soldiers during an arrest. According to an Arab report, several terrorists were killed and wounded.
In Israel:
The wounded terrorist who was being treated in a hospital in Israel, about whom we reported today, has been transferred to a military facility for further treatment.
The Israel Post website was briefly taken down following a suspected hack by anti-Israeli elements. The Israel Post Authority stated that the matter is being handled; normal service has been restored.

The IDF and the Shin Bet revealed documentation from an operation in which terrorists were eliminated inside one of Hamas' terror tunnels in Gaza.
Five fighters were seriously injured today in a battle in the south of the Gaza Strip, following a bomb explosion. In the same incident, Lieutenant Colonel Shahar Barkai, Battalion Commander of the Golani Divisional training base, was moderately injured.
It was also reported that three soldiers were seriously injured in two other battles today.
There are reports that all Internet and communication services in the Gaza Strip were down.
The body of civilian hostage Elia Toledano was recovered by IDF forces from the Gaza Strip and returned to Israel. The late Elia, 28, from Tel Aviv, was kidnapped from the party in Re'im. HYD, may his memory be a blessing.

The northern front:
IDF forces continued throughout the day with intensive attacks in southern Lebanon, destroying Hezbollah terror infrastructure. In the afternoon, a terrorist squad that tried to launch an anti-tank missile toward Shetula was foiled. A short while ago, another terrorist squad was attacked in Lebanon.
In the afternoon, our forces retaliated to launches from Lebanese territory to the north of the country.

The West Bank:
The IDF's operation in Jenin was completed today, after three days of continuous activity. During the operation, our forces eliminated more than ten terrorists, arrested 60 terrorists, and located dozens of weapons and explosives, ten tunnel shafts, and seven explosives-manufacturing laboratories.
Seven fighters and an officer were lightly wounded during the operation.

• צוות הקרב החטיבתי של חטיבה 188 השמיד הבוקר את מפקדת חמאס בשג׳עייה. צוותי הלחימה של חטיבה 7 ועוצבת הקומנדו השמידו מחסן אמצעי לחימה של חמאס ואיתרו פיר מבצעי. בפעולה אחרת נחשף מארב של חמאס בפיר מבצעי. המארב כלל בובות של ילדים מחוברות לרמקולים שעשו קולות של בכי, וכן כמות גדולה של מטענים ממולכדים. לוחמי צה"ל חשפו את המארב ואיתו מערכת פירים משמעותית.
• צה״ל תקף יעדי חמאס על גבול מצרים, בסמוך למעבר רפיח. מטוסים ומסוקים תקפו אתרים צבאיים, מחסנים של אמצעי לחימה ועמדות תצפית.

• המבצע של צה"ל בג'נין הושלם היום, לאחר שלושה ימים של פעילות רציפה. במהלך המבצע חיסלו כוחותינו יותר מעשרה מחבלים ועצרו כ-60 מחבלים. הם איתרו עשרות כלי נשק ומטענים, עשרה פירי מנהרות ושבע מעבדות לייצור מטענים.
שבעה לוחמים וקצין נפצעו באורח קל במהלך המבצע.

• היועץ לביטחון לאומי של ארצות הברית, ג'ייק סאליבן, ביקר היום בארץ ונפגש עם ראש הממשלה נתניהו ועם חברי קבינט המלחמה המצומצם. שר הביטחון גלנט אמר לסאליבן כי יידרשו יותר מכמה חודשים לפירוק ארגון הטרור חמאס.
• ראש הממשלה נתניהו נפגש עם נשיאת הצלב האדום והעביר לה קופסה עם תרופות עבור החטופים הישראלים בעזה. הוא דרש כי הצלב האדום ימצא דרך לספק להם את התרופות.
מוקדם יותר היום נפגשו שר החוץ ושר הבריאות עם נשיאת הצלב האדום, ודרשו ממנה לבקר אצל החטופים הישראלים בעזה. בפגישה השתתפו גם נציגים של משפחות החטופים.
• בכיר חמאס אבו מרזוק הבהיר שארגון הטרור חמאס אינו מכיר "בלגיטימיות של הכיבוש הישראלי". ההבהרה באה בעקבות אמירה אחרת שלו, שעליה דיווחנו בצוהריים, שלפיה יש לכבד את עמדת אש"ף שהכיר במדינת ישראל.
• מלשכת ראש הממשלה נמסר אתמול כי נתניהו הבהיר שישראל תמשיך במלחמה בעזה עד שתשלים את כל יעדיה. זאת בתגובה לפרסום בניו יורק טיימס על כך שארצות הברית דורשת מישראל לסיים את התמרון הקרקעי ברצועת עזה עד סוף שנת 2023.
• ג׳ייק סאליבן, היועץ לביטחון לאומי של ארצות הברית, סיים היום את ביקורו בישראל. הוא אמר כי צפוי שינוי בעצימות המלחמה בעזה, והיא תהפוך להיות ממוקדת ומדויקת יותר. עם זאת, סאליבן הבהיר שהוא לא מציב לוח זמנים לישראל.
