The West Bank:
Last night IDF forces arrested 20 wanted persons throughout Judea and Samaria and confiscated 11 illegal vehicles in the Hebron area.
The IDF spokesman said that since the beginning of the war, more than 2,400 wanted persons have been arrested throughout Judea and Samaria, about half of them associated with Hamas.
In Israel:
The IDF is reinforcing the local civilian security groups in the Gaza envelope communities. As part of the plan, the IDF will reinforce 23 communities with weapons, ceramic vests and helmets. In the future, reinforcements will be extended to all sectors across the country, according to the Ministry of Defense and the IDF spokesman.
The security coordinators of towns and cities will be declared officially as citizens working for the IDF.
On a positive note:
An officer serving in Gaza found, together with his soldiers, a helpless elderly Palestinian woman who had been abandoned in the war zone. The woman said that she had not seen a person for 7 days and had not eaten or drank anything. The soldiers evacuated her to the Red Cross and said: "This is our response to this whole cursed war, the war for our humanity."
This week, dozens of singers and musicians of various genres gathered at the Amphitheater in Caesarea, and performed an elaborate version of the song "HaBaita" ("home") by Ehud Manor. The video clip will be distributed to raise awareness around the world of the hostage situation.
The Israeli satire program "Eretz Nehederet" ("A Wonderful Land") published several sketches in English in recent weeks.
